These are traditional symbolic associations, not three independently measured personality traits. There is no need to pick a “real” sign and dismiss the others.
Your Sun sign: a familiar starting point
The Sun sign is the tropical zodiac section containing the Sun at your birth moment. It is the sign most people mean when they say “I’m a Libra” or “I’m a Taurus.” Astrological readings connect it with identity, expression, and a sense of direction.
Popular date ranges are approximate. Near a sign boundary, the birth year, time, and timezone matter. A calculated position is more useful than deciding from a generic birthday list. The zodiac overview explains the twelve signs without treating those date ranges as exact.
Your Moon sign: an inner point of view
The Moon sign uses the Moon’s position at the same birth moment. In astrology, it is often read through habits, emotional responses, care, and what feels familiar. You might use it to ask what helps you settle after a demanding day.
If the birth time is missing, a noon calculation is only an estimate. A Moon placement near a sign boundary especially deserves caution: an earlier or later birth could put it in the neighboring sign. An apparently precise degree does not remove that input uncertainty.
Your Rising sign: where the chart begins
The Rising sign, or Ascendant, is the sign at the eastern intersection of the horizon and the ecliptic for your birth time and place. It is an angle, not another planet. Astrologers associate it with approach, first impressions, and how someone encounters new situations.
Mazarion starts the first Equal House at that Ascendant degree. Changing the birth time can therefore change both the Rising sign and house placements. We omit them when the birth time is unknown; we do not infer them from your personality.
How to read them together

A reading might bring together self-expression, a need for familiarity, and a careful approach to new situations. A useful question: “When I want to share an idea, what preparation or reassurance helps me do it?”
Compare the answer with your experience rather than assuming it fits. If emotional needs interest you, the attachment-style assessment offers a separate set of questions about closeness and security. Your Moon sign does not determine your attachment style.
